A few words about Rosebleed
Rosebleed has been around for 10 years. A week ago they announced their new release, a 5-track EP titled “Swan Songs”, with a simultaneous band break up. Sad news but a bittersweet goodbye with 5 great, last, songs. “Every End Is A Beginning”, in their own words.
1. What do you see in your dreams?
In our night sleep, we see dreams that we still are not able to control, though we are trying. In our daily dreams we imagine ourselves achieving all that we want. Dreaming of our IDEAL self, how we look like, how we sound like, what do we do, where do we live, with who do we speak, how do we feel? With all the tiny little details.. I really believe in the great power of human mind, which we still know very little about, how it functions and what the results of our thoughts are. As Curtis Mayfield sings in MOVE ON UP: “Remember your dream is your only scheme so keep on pushing”.
2. What is the most important thing in life?
There are many important things in life that we are grateful for having. Oxygen, water, sound health, warm house, (plenty of) food, family, more than enough clean clothes, machines and gadgets. Almost half of the population do not even dream of those things and situations. Though we are blessed of having those comforts we always want more and more. So in a more philosophical point of view, as the time goes by, what I find most important is, me becoming my best friend. I grow with me and i will die with me and only me.
3. When alone, do you talk to yourself? If so, what do you talk about?
I always talk to myself even if am not alone. I talk like a parent to his child. Boosting me, directing me and explaining things I do not understand. Many times we have fights also, as all relationships.
4. How is this world going to end?
Maybe each one of us will turn into a new universe. Many say that if you knew how all this is going to end, the “travel” would be boring… Maybe they are right, but until now I am completely on the opposite site.
5. Why do music?
Music has always been, since thousands of years, one of the greatest tools human beings had to heal and connect the soul and mind. It is a language. You express yourself, you share thoughts, ideas and feelings that would be impossible to say with words we know until now. Music is something we need and we follow.
